Having spent over 20 years delivering recruitment solutions to a number of international technology companies, I made the decision 6 years ago to make a few key changes.
These changes were to uproot myself and family from the Thames Valley to sunny Canterbury, Kent and to dedicate my efforts to helping local SME’s to hire the best local technology & marketing talent.
My essential nature is to help others, and combining this with being a good judge of character, it was no coincidence that I ended up in the jolly old world of recruitment and talent acquisition. My passion for technology and marketing has also shaped my focus and given that they are constantly changing, it has been fun keeping up to speed.
Unfortunately, when I compare corporate and SME’s approach to recruitment, I believe that many SME’s regularly fail to identify the best local talent. They all too often set the bar low in order to fill the role quickly and with the least cost. I do appreciate the cost and time pressures for many SME’s, however we should not underestimate the real cost of a poor hire and that is where I believe I can add real value in the process.
As a former internal Recruitment Manager, I am passionate about getting the best local candidate in terms of skills, experience and also culture&personality fit, areas which are often overlooked. I am also focused on ensuring that our service is consistent, timelyandcost effective.
